3661759 - S/4HANA Upgrade Issue: Missing Fiori Catalogs in target client after Remote client copy from Production

Symptom

  • Why would there be missing Fiori Catalogs in a Target Client after doing a Remote Client Copy from Production?

  • Upgrade from S/4HANA 1909 to S/4HANA 2303: Catalogs started to disappear. What if these catalogs would have been present in both the target and source systems, so the catalogs should still be there in the target in either case during Remote Client Copy. 

    • Whether these missing catalogs were overwritten from the source, or even if they were not.

    • Users need to understand how this losing of catalogs are possible during an upgrade of S/4HANA 1909 to S/4HANA 2023 as the users cannot afford to do additional client copies and have catalogs to be missing.

      • What are the possibilities/mechanisms that "could" cause this during an upgrade for S/4HANA?
