3661800 - Performance Improvement Needed for Import/Refresh Job in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Import/Refresh jobs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) take a long time to complete, with no error message received upon completion.
• The duration of the import process remains consistent regardless of the number of rows imported (up to 1000 rows).
• The backend S/4HANA OData call response time is fast, but SAC processing execution time introduces latency.

1. Log in to the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) system.
2. Open the relevant model
3. Navigate to "Workspace" -> "Data Management" 
4. Select a job -> then click on "Refresh"
   >> Notice a time latency even though small number of rows (e.g., 50 rows) were uploaded. 
5. Select another job -> then click on "Refresh"
   >> Observe consistent execution time for larger data sets, such as 1000 rows.

There is an option called "Replace empty cells with default member #" in the import settings dialog. This option is Turned "ON" by default and is dependent on the number of dimensions. 

Turn "Off" the "Replace empty cell by default member #" option in the import setting dialog.
