3661806 - Unable to schedule a Job Error: "Unable to Run the Job Request" with Jobs Stuck in "Waiting" State

Customers are reporting an issue where they are unable to schedule new jobs in the system. When attempting to run a job, the following error message is displayed: "Unable to run the Job request. Please wait until the current job is completed before submitting a new one."This problem persists even after waiting for previously scheduled jobs to complete, with jobs remaining stuck in a "Waiting" state, which is causing operational impacts.

SAP Successfactor HCM Suite

1. Attempt to Run a Job:

   • Try to initiate any job in the system.

2. Observe Error Message:

   • Note the occurrence of the error message: "Unable to run the Job request. Please wait until the current job is completed before submitting a new one."

3. Check Job Status:

   • Verify that jobs remain in the "Waiting" state, preventing the execution of new jobs.

The system enforces job execution limits based on job type to prevent operational conflicts. Certain job types allow only one job to run at a time, while others support parallel execution of multiple jobs. These configurations are defined internally by job type owners according to business requirements.

The issue was identified as expected behavior due to internal configurations limiting simultaneous job execution based on job type. Customers were advised to:

• Cancel Pending Jobs: If urgent execution is required, cancel pending jobs of the same type.
• Allow Completion: Allow existing jobs to complete naturally, after which new jobs will be executed.
