3661812 - 'Save Button' Missing When Opening Optimized Story in 'Edit' Mode in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

Cannot get the save button (in top left bar) to save stories in 'Edit' mode in SAP Analytics Cloud.

SAP Analytics Cloud (Entreprise) 2025.14.14 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to the SAC system.
  2. Open the ODE story in "Edit" mode.
    >> Observe that the save button is missing in the 'Top left bar'.

Cause

The 'Custom role' is missing "Create" permission on the "Application" object. 

Resolution

Add the "Create" permission to the "Application" object.
