3662128 - Unable to download excel file for Purchase Contracts

• An issue occurs when attempting to download the Excel file related to purchase contracts. The process remains loading for an extended period and does not complete the download.
• The Excel file is required for the analysis of purchase contracts but eventually displays a timeout error message: "Unexpected server response" 500 Connection Timed Out.

1. Attempt to download the Excel file related to purchase contracts using the "Manage Purchase Contracts" application.
2. Observe that the process remains loading for an extended period and does not complete the download.
3. A timeout error message: "Unexpected server response" 500 Connection Timed Out" is displayed.

The performance of the Excel export is influenced by several factors such as:

• Available server memory

• Work process configuration

• Timeout settings

• Available parallel processing

• Hardware configuration

Even with optimal system configurations, exporting or processing very large datasets (e.g., several hundred or thousands of purchase contracts/items) is not performant within SAP standard system behavior.

 It is for performance safeguard to ensure system stability for all users. Apply appropriate filters in the Manage Purchase Contracts app to reduce the selection before exporting and export in multiple batches (≤150 contracts per export).
