3662172 - Email Notification for Flexible Workflow is Received 24 hours after the Workflow Is Generated.

Symptom

  • Sometimes, due to special circumstances, the flexible workflow notification email is not sent immediately after a new workflow is generated, but rather approximately 24 hours later.
  • For example, in certain situations, the agent assignment for the workflow is not completed immediately when the workflow is generated. At this point, since the workflow has no agent, the notification email is not sent to anyone, and the application log (T-code SLG1) records "Workitem '0000000XXXXX' has no recipients with valid e-mail addresses." Subsequently, the agent assignment for the workflow is completed, but the email is still not sent immediately and is instead sent approximately 24 hours after the workflow is generated.
