3662357 - Project Sales Unit mismatch between Sales Order and Customer Project

Sales Unit in the Sales Order 123(123 represents Sales Order ID) does not match the Sales Unit defined in the related Customer Project ABC(ABC represents project ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Sales Order Workcenter.
2. Go to Sales Order View.
3. Enable All orders in the Drop-down and search with 123.
4. Go to Organization Assignment and verify that Sales Unit "XYZ" (XYZ represents Sales Unit) is present.
5. Go to Items Tab.
6. Confirm that Project ABC is linked in Projects task.
7. Navigate to Projects view in Project Management Workcenter.
8. Navigate to Accounting tab of Main Phase in the Project ABC.
9. Under Accounting, verify that Sales Unit is "TUV"(TUV represents Sales Unit in Project).

Responsibility "Sales Unit for Sales" is scoped, but Organizational work distribution rules are not maintained for Sales Unit in Organizational Management.

1. Navigate to Business Configuration Workcenter.
2. Go to Overview View.
3. Search for "Involved Parties".
4. Open "Involved Parties for Sales Orders".
5. Review Step 10 corresponding to Responsibility: "Sales Unit for Sales".
   • Step 10 is scoped but skipped due to missing Organizational work distribution rules for Sales Unit in Organizational Management.
6. Proceed to Step 20: "Functional Organizational Unit of Employee Responsible".
   • The employee responsible is identified as GEF(GEF represents Employee Responsible) .
   • His functional org unit is "JKL"(JKL represents GEF's Org Unit).
   • The system automatically assigns "JKL" as the Sales Unit in Project ABC.
7. Confirm that this behavior is expected when Step 10 is not configured with maintained Sales Units.
8. Note that the Sales Unit in Sales Order 123 can be manually changed if necessary.
