3662423 - Visibility of Address Information with View Permissions

Symptom

  • When HR user has view, create permission for Address information they will be able to edit address information.
  • There is no read only view controlled with RBP in onboarding pages for Address information

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into system
  2. Go to Onboarding Dashboard > Action > New Hire Data
  3. Go to Address Information Portlet section.

Cause

The issue is an expected behavior of the system. If a user has permission to view, edit, create the address information portlet, they will also have the ability to edit it. 

Resolution

  1. To restrict a user in onboarding from viewing an address information, remove permission from Employee Central Effective Dated Entities > Address and Edit Link edit and correct permission.
  2. This will prevent the portlet from appearing in onboarding pages for the user.
