• Error message "Retail materials cannot be maintained in the industry system" (Message no. MH194) appears when attempting to use the "Create Article" (MM41) application.
• The system does not allow the creation of retail articles.

1. Open the "Create Article" application (MM41).
2. Attempt to create a retail material.
3. Observe the error message: "Retail materials cannot be maintained in the industry system" (Message no. MH194).

• The business function "RFM_RETAIL_BASE_SCOPE" was not activated in the system.

1. Access the configuration activity "105703 Activate Business Function 'Retail Base Scope'".
2. Activate the business function "RFM_RETAIL_BASE_SCOPE".
