3662525 -  The fields MATNR (Material) and PSTYV (Item Category) are greyed out in sales order for configurable material

Symptom

  • In the definition of requirement class assigned to an sales order item, Configuration is set as mandatory(+). Then during the creation of a sales order, the fields MATNR (Material) and PSTYV (Item Category) are greyed out and cannot be edited. 
  • The same happens when trying to change the sales order.
