Symptom
When onboarding process is cancelled for an external user, if the candidate is rehired back into the system, what will happen to the timeslices associated with the cancelled onboarding profile? What is the behaviour in the Employee Profile after the candidate is rehired successfully?
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Resolution
- Here is an example of what happens to the Rehire Timeslices in Employee Profile in Personal Information section:
- The additional personal information record is appearing because the onboarding user/candidate ID of the cancelled process is the same as that of the correct onboarding process.
- When an onboarding process is cancelled, the associated data is not automatically deleted; this requires a purge action.
- To prevent duplicate records or timestamp conflicts, it is always recommended to perform a data purge before reusing an onboarding user.
- This ensures cleaner data management and avoids inconsistencies.
Note: This is the same behaviour when candidate is cancelled after being accepted with Rehire on Old Employment.
