Symptom

You have created a transient field on a certain node of a Custom Business Object but you cannot use that element in events on a different node. 

Environment

  • Cloud For Customer 
  • Business byDesign
  • Cloud Application Studio. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Use code completion or type the name of the element you have defined in the Custom Business Object.
  2. Error : The field is not known.

Cause

 You cannot refence transient fields in events on other nodes of the custom Business object. 

Resolution

You can refence transient fields (only available for business objects) of the current node of a business object.
