Symptom

Why the GUI number is the same as the billing number  in the app eDocument Cockpit for Taiwan?

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a billing document.
  2. Navigate to the app eDocument Cockpit.
  3. Observe that the GUI number is displayed incorrectly as the billing number.

Cause

The configuration activity "Assign Document Class to Billing Type and Tax Code" was set to 'not relevant,' preventing the system from automatically generating a valid GUI number.

Resolution

  1. Access the configuration activity "Assign number ranges to business places" (ID:102326) and ensure uncheck the "EINV Rele" field.
  2. Review the configuration activity "Assign Document Class to Billing Type and Tax Code." (ID:101936).
  • If it is set to 'not relevant,' update the configuration to remove the 'not relevant' setting.
  • Alternatively, manually enter the GUI number in the "Reference" field when creating a billing document.
