3663428 - Error "Variable in item cannot be identified" (RN011) is raised when entering formula for calculated characteristic

Symptom

In transaction QP02, formula is maintained for the calculated characteristic, like the below one:

C010+Z020

However, when clicking save, below error message is raised:

"Variable Z060 in items 5 and 9 cannot be identified" (message nr: RN011)

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
