3663645 - Typeahead search adds backslash character in results in SAP GUI for HTML

Symptom

  • Fuzzy search on WBS adds a backslash ("\") character to results in Fiori.
  • This issue does not occur in SAP GUI for windows; testing in transaction code CJI3 works fine.
  • Search in ok code leads the same issue in WebGUI (SAP GUI for HTML)
  • Type ahead search with encoding issue, "/" chars are displayed as "\/". 
  • Issue with special character ' is converted to: ' 
  • With "&" chars we also see JS errors that lead to screen locking.
