Symptom
Following the Preview release 1H2026, there is a change in the font styling of the job requisition job description token on the job details page on the RMK site.
Font styling setup in the RCM job description is no longer displayed on the RMK job details page.
This affects newly posted jobs as well as some existing jobs.
This affects UDM as well as non UDM implementations.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a job requisition in RCM
- Use the Rich Text Editor to set several font styles within the job description (Different Fonts, sizes and colours)
- Post the job to RMK
- On the RMK career site, the job description does not reflect the font styling selections made in the RTE in the job requisition.
Cause
If a job layout is configured in CSB, the styling for the Job Description job token configured in CSB takes precedence over the RTE Font styling.
If a job layout is not available, then the configured CSB Global font and styling will be applied to the job Description job token.
Note the change only affects :
A) font-family
B) font-size
C) font color
Other formatting and styling options are passed through to to RMK. (bulletpoints, paragraphs, boldface...)
Resolution
Why the change?
As the more advanced and rich tool in terms of customizations of job layouts, the styling offered by CSB should be the one to take precedence.
Following the RTE update in 1H2025, however, the RMK font styling set up in CSB was suppressed. This caused the following behaviours :
- If the font was left as the default one (Verdana) in the RTE and a job layout was applied, then in RMK the job layout font styling was applied as expected.
- If the font was left as the default one (Verdana) in the RTE and if no job layout was applied, then Global site font under CSB was applied as expected.
- If the font was changed however (not left as the Default Verdana font in RTE) then this font would be displayed on the RMK job description irrespective of the font configured in the CSB layout or the global configuration. It was therefore not possible to use a custom font for the job description token on the job details page.
This would affect branding and cause styling inconsistency across the RMK site. - What is more, even if the font was changed back to Verdana in RCM, the CSB font would still not be applied.
The current behaviour was introduced as a fix for these issues and was deployed with release 1H2026 in Preview.
What will happen?
Some customers had made use of these inconsistent styling options in the interim though and found they were not happy with the latest change.
As a result, it was decided to revert the code fix to give customers some flexibility back with a view to revisit the behaviour at a later date.
When with the fix be reverted?
The current behaviour will be deployed with the productive release and the plan is to revert it on the first available patch window. For RMK career sites without UDM enabled the patch will release with P5. For sites with UDM enabled the patch is being released with P7. You can check the patch schedule on the Community.
What will be affected after deployment and revert?
Only the font styling of the Job description section of the job posting will be affected. Search and apply workflows are not affected.
The code change will apply to new postings. For existing postings, requisition updates will trigger the changes.
For non UDM sites, the automatic date rolling process (every 28 days) will also trigger the styling changes.
What should customers do?
As the revert will take place shortly after production release, customers should refrain from making changes which might subsequently have to be undone.
Following the revert, the same principle as outlined above will apply to restore the original styling.
