3663709 - Change Reporting Tool showing incorrect change date

In canvas report, when using the Change Reporting Tool it is showing the effective start date of the latest record instead of the effective start date of the record where the value was changed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. In canvas report, use change reporting tool on a field that has multiple record changes.
2. The change value is reflecting correctly, but the change date is showing the latest record's change date and not the date when the value was changed.

Example scenario:

• The Job Title was changed from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive on 14/08/2025.
• The Pay Grade was changed from Salary Grade 11 to Salary Grade 12 on 01/01/2026

When running the Change Reporting Tool for Job Title, although it was changed on 14/08/2025, the latest record change in the position was on 01/01/2026, so it will show the Previous Effective Start Date as 01/01/2026 instead of 14/08/2025.

This is a limitation in how the Change Reporting feature handles historical data with multiple intermediate changes.
