Symptom

The error message "the number of items to process cannot exceed 500" appears when attempting to clear more than 500 open items in the Clear Incoming Payments app.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Run the Clear Incoming Payments app.
  2. Enter 500 or more Journal Entries to search.
  3. Select all searched entries.
  4. Observe the error message "the number of items to process cannot exceed 500".

Resolution

The limitation of processing a maximum of 500 items is a standard behavior.

If a higher limit is necessary for business operations, submit a feature request through the Customer Influence website.
