Symptom

  • Error: Internal error occurred! when updating job applications using SFAPI.
  • The issue started after performing an instance refresh in the current instance.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to update a job application using SFAPI.
  2. An error message is received "Internal error occurred!"

Cause

There is a mismatch between the Microsite ID in 'Manage Recruiting Sites' and 'Brand Management' in Career Site Builder (CSB).

After the instance refresh, the Microsite IDs under 'Manage Recruiting Sites' were changed.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, update the Microsite IDs in CSB 'Brand Management'.

1. Obtaining the Microsite IDs:

  1. Navigate to 'Manage Recruiting Sites'.
  2. View the microsites.
  3. Obtain the Microsite IDs (the string after "&site=") from the Site URL.

2. Updating the Microsite IDs in CSB:

  1. Navigate to Career Site Builder > Tools > Brand Management.
  2. Edit the brands.
  3. Update the Microsite IDs.
  4. Once updated, click the Save button on the main page.
