3664095 - IS Agent: Unresponsive Agent Admin UI

Symptom

After upgrading the Introscope (IS) Agent to 10.8 Patch 2 (build 24.9.1.19), the SAP NetWeaver Admin UI becomes unresponsive or the managed NetWeaver system crashes
The Introscope agent logs/ System logs contains entries like:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: while trying to load from index -2147483648 of an object array with length 8, loaded from local variable 'strings'
at com.wily.introscope.agent.brtm.wrapper.BRTHttpServletResponseWrapperBase$BRTOutputStream.writeStream(BRTHttpServletResponseWrapperBase.java:1561)
    at com.wily.introscope.agent.brtm.wrapper.BRTHttpServletResponseWrapperBase$BRTOutputStream.write(BRTHttpServletResponseWrapperBase.java:2023)
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.basesrvc.util.NonClosingOutputStream.write(NonClosingOutputStream.java:50)
