3664155 - Forward Propagation in Job Information is not working for the field "location"

Symptom

Forward propagation in Job Information is working as expected for the fields like "business title" and "cost center" but not working for the "location" field.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Forward Propagation in Job Information

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Job Information of an employee
  2. Insert a new record in the future to update the Cost Center
  3. Insert a new record as of today and update the location > Save
  4. See Cost Center is updated in the future record as expected
  5. But Location is copied over from the previous record

Cause

This is a known defect. 

Resolution

Engineering has created a code correction - ECT-257955 to address the behavior. The fix is scheduled for delivery in the upcoming 2H 2025/2511 release.

  • First Half 2025 | Preview: April 14 | Production: May 16-18
  • Second Half 2025 | Preview: October 13 | Production: November 14-16
