Variable prompt values are not applied on the file received after scheduling the story based on live BW connection in SAC

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2025.14.17

Data-source : BW 

1. Login to SAC
2. Open story
3. Change the value in variable prompt
4. Click on Set
5. Navigate to File --> Schedule Publication
6. Select the mode, Event Name, Start Date and file type
7. Add user/users in Distribution list
8. Ensure to edit the prompt 
9. Create a schedule publication
10. Open the received PDF in email

Notice : The values in Appendix section of the file for variable prompt are different from what selected while scheduling in story.

The default value is set in the backend (BW), and SAC is retaining these backend-defined value while scheduling the story.

To ensure that the value remains consistent while scheduling, please select the option 'Keep last saved values for dynamic variables' in the variable prompt while scheduling. This will help retain the values selected while scheduling and prevent any unintended changes.
