Symptom
- An error occurs when attempting to edit an existing SQL query in SAP Analytics Cloud: "Error occurred in the SAP Analytics Cloud agent service: ["JSONObject[\"tableName\] not found".]
- This issue is specific to tables containing join objects.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.14.17
Reproducing the Issue
- Log into SAP Analytics Cloud
- Open a model using MS SQL.
- Navigate to the Data Management section.
- Attempt to edit a query that includes a join table.
- Observe that the Table and Filters UI fail to load, displaying the error message: "Error occurred in the SAP Analytics Cloud agent service: ["JSONObject[\"tableName\] not found".]
Cause
The issue occurred due to a change in the persistence format for queries, preventing users from editing SQL data sources that utilized the "Visual Linking Query Builder".
Resolution
A patch was delivered for SAC 2025.14.21. This accommodated the new persistence format for queries, which allowed the "Visual Linking Query Builder" to load and save the queries correctly.
