Note: The latest People Profile mobile experience is similar to the web experience. Most content and functionality of the latest experience is available on both web and native mobile applications. Detailed documentation will provide any functional differences between the platforms.
How to enable this feature ?
In order to utilize the new History and Edit UI from Latest People Profile, please follow steps bellow:
- Go to Admin Center
- Search for ˜Configure Latest People Profile˜ tool
- Go to ˜General Settings˜
- Select ˜Enable the latest Editing and History UI for Employee Central entities on full Profile˜
- Save

| UI Discrepancy in Latest People Profile: 'Change Job & Comp. Info' vs. 'Create' / 'Correct' Edit UI | Currently, when editing via 'Take Action' / 'All Actions' > 'Change Job And Compensation Information', the old edit UI still shows. | After associate Pay Scale Type and Pay Scale Area with Pay Grade, when change Pay Grade value the Pay Scale Type and Pay Scale Area are reset, even if you have OnChange rule to populate this fields. |
This is a known defect and is scheduled to be fixed in 2H 2026. |
| Error severity message triggered by onchange rule is set to Warning instead in the Latest People Profile |
By design in PPX. Error severity during onChange is unsupported; the system treats it as a warning. |

| Why do Edit/Add/Delete buttons appear differently depending on which Background Element you edit? | This is expected behavior, this will depend on number of fields available for the background element as when there is less than 8 fields, there is no need to open a side panel to open edit options but when there are more then 8 fields configured for custom background element, we need a side panel to list the fields more clearly. |
| Why is it possible to edit fields while only having RBP 'View' permissions to those specific fields ? |
If you have the following permissions:
You can edit these fields of the entity in the latest People Profile. You can edit for all users or only for users in the target population depending on whether the import target population check is enabled. |
| Why is the amount field not editable in Pay Components portlet/block on Latest People Profile? | This is expected and depends on the Pay component type selected. In Latest People Profile the behavior should be as follow:

| Field masking for HRIS entities in Editing UI |
If a field is as "Masked" in the Manage Business Configuration admin tool, the field value is masked by default on the Editing UI of latest People Profile. Please be aware of the following differences:

| Add links into the Editing UI |
This function is no longer available on the latest People Profile. Administrators can instead add help content, including hyperlinks, for all Full Profile cards. Once added, you can access the help content from the view and Editing UI of the latest People Profile. For more information, see Adding Card Help for Full Profile Cards. |
| Not able to change field visibility from View to Edit using business Rule |
Neither RBP nor rules can upgrade a user’s access beyond what is configured in the Data Model. For example, if a field’s Visibility attribute is set to View in the Data Model, you cannot set the visibility to Edit using business rules and you can't edit this field even if you have the Edit role-based permission for this field; conversely, if Data Model allows Edit but RBP restricts a role to View, the user will only view this field and a rule can only further restrict it. |
| In Latest People Profile, there is no pencil icon for Background Information in the summary card |
