3664550 - My Reporting (Fiori App F4940A): Difference Between SAP Query and ALV Report Variants and Layouts

Symptom

In the My Reporting Fiori app (App ID F4940A), customers may notice different behaviour between SAP Query and ALV reports when variants or layouts are used.

  • For ALV reports, layout options such as sorting, filtering, or hidden columns are applied correctly.

  • For SAP Query reports, the assigned variant or layout settings are not reflected when running the report from My Reporting.

As a result, SAP Query output in My Reporting may display columns, sorting, or filters differently than when executed directly in the backend (e.g., transaction SQ01/SQ02 or a custom transaction).
