3664607 - Upgrading XSA got failed due to an error "Failed to load signature file"

Symptom

  • Performing an XSA upgrade from version v1.3.5 to version v1.4.0.
  • Encountered the following errors during the upgrade.
    • 18:33:12.674 - ERR: Update of SAP HANA Database components failed.
    • 18:32:49.603 - ERR: Update of SAP HANA Database instance integration failed.
    • 18:32:49.603 - ERR: Updating host through SAP Host Agent failed.
    • 18:32:49.602 - ERR: Updating local host failed! Failed to load signature file '/usr/sap/HAN/SYS/global/../SIGNATURE.SMF'.
