3664782 - Error F5808 occurs during documents posting

Symptom

Error F5808: "Field XXXXXXXX is a required field for G/L account XXXXXXXX" occurs during documents posting or processing.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Cause

Certain fields have been set as mandatory(required entry) in the financial interface for the G/L account field status group, when posting to the same if no values are passed then the error is triggered.

Resolution

  1. In app Manage G/L Account Master Data, field out field status group used for accounts.
  2. In SSCUI 102393 - Define Field Status Variants, check if the entry is marked as "required", change the same to "Opt. Entry".
  3. Or if the field status group should not be changed, enter a value for relevant field and process again.
