3664943 - Online content progress is lost after withdrawing from the class in blended type course

• Online content progress is lost in the SAP SuccessFactors Learning module after withdrawing the class registration for blended course (Instructor-Led with Online Content).
• The issue is intermittent and only happens to a part of users.

• SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Assign the blended item to the user.
2. User registers the classs for the item.
3. User completes the online content of a blended course.
4. Admin change the enroll status to cancelled due to No-show in the class or user self cancels the registration.
5. Admin finds that the online object details which the user previously completed disappeared.

• The online progress is associated with the latest item assignment. If the item assigned by the class is removed (e.g., due to a "No Show" status), the associated online progress is also removed.

Some Example will explain the issue more clearly.

Example 1:

1. item originated from Curriculum/admin-assignment was assigned on Sep 1st
2. item originated from Class was assigned by class registration on Sep 20th
3. The user completed the online content on Sep 30th

Then in that case, if user is withdrawn from class, the online content process will be gone with the assignment of item assigned by Class. (because online content progress will be associated with the latest assignment of the item)

Example 2: 

1. item originated from Curriculum/admin-assignment was assigned on Sep 1st
2. item originated from Class was assigned by class registration on Sep 20th
3. The user completed the online content on Sep 10th

Then in this case, if user is withdrawn from class, the online content process will still be there. It is because the online process is associated with the item assigned by Curriculum/admin-assignment. Removing the item from class will not impact the online content progress.

Example 3:

1. item originated from Curriculum/admin-assignment was assigned on Sep 20th
2. item originated from Class was assigned by class registration on Sep 10th
3. The user completed the online content on Sep 30th

Then in this case, if user is withdrawn from class, the online content process will still be there. It is because the online process is associated with the item assigned by Curriculum/admin-assignment. Removing the item from class will not impact the online content progress.

• Disable the setting "Remove associated item from learning plan when admin withdraws User(s) from class(es)" in the system configuration.
• Ensure that the associated item is not removed when a user is withdrawn from a class.
