3664955 - Interpolated Meter Reading in Billing Document shows an unexpected number of decimal places

Symptom

  • automatic Interpolation during billing takes place, because of price change or any other reason that leads to an interpolation
  • the interpolated reading is showing less decimal places then expected from calculation point of view
  • as example:
    • Consumption for the billing period is 110 kWh
    • starting meter reading is 1.254,20
    • billing period is 54 days (linear weighting)
    • interpolation is needed after 23 days
    • Calculation is as follows 110 / 54 * 23 = 46,85185185
    • expected meter reading is 1254,2 + 46,85185185 = 1.301,05185185
    • meter reading shown in the billing document = 1.301,05
