Symptom
- Unicode characters, like Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese,... appears as squares in the PDF document attached to the broadcast email.
- Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese characters appear garbled when scheduling a publication to PDF or PPTX format in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Non-ASCII characters appears correctly when exporting the story to PDF or PowerPoint. The issue only occurs when broadcasting the story to PDF or PowerPoint.

Reproducing the Issue
- Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Create a story that contains unicode characters, like: Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese,...
- View the story, and export it to PDF format.
- Notice the Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese... characters displays correctly.
- In the story in the Full Viewer mode, select "File / Schedule Publication"
- Set the file type as PDF or PowerPoint(.pptx) then create the schedule.
- Wait for the schedule publication to run successfully.
- When opening the exported PDF or PowerPoint document in email, notice the Arabic, Hebrew, or Japanese characters displays as squares.
