3665611 - Validation error while generating learning reports for specific date range in sap successfactors learning

Encountering a validation error while generating the learning reports using a specific completed date range filter (e.g., from 01-Sep-2025 to 30-Sep-2025).

Please correct the following errors before proceeding:

• You entered a value (01 Sept 2025) that is invalid for this criterion (Completed Date From).
• You entered a value (30 Sept 2025) that is invalid for this criterion (Completed Date To).

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Access Learning Administration.
2. Navigate to the 'Reports' section.
3. Search for any reports (e.g. Learning History)
4. Run the report by applying the completed date range filter from 01-Sep-2025 to 30-Sep-2025.
5. Observe the validation error message.

The issue occurs because the user's locale in BIZX is set to "English UK", while the related admin preference in LMS is set to either "English" or has no locale set at all. The short month name "Sept" is valid for locales such as "English UK" and "English Australia" as per the Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR) specification. The CLDR library has made these changes to match the standard abbreviations. More details can be found in the KBA - 3449409.

Kindly ensure and set the same locale in BIZX and LMS for the user and administrator. 

In BIZX:

• Navigate to Account -> Settings-> Change Language-> Set the locale.

In LMS:

• For User : Navigate to Learning Administration-> People-> Users-> Search for the user and open their record-> select 'Preferences'-> Active Locale ID-> Set the locale.
• For related Admin-> System Administration-> Security-> Administrators-> Search for the administrator and open their record in edit mode -> select 'Preferences'-> Set the locale.
