3665694 - This page isn't working 401 error

Symptom

  • Intermittently receive "This page isn't working" 401 unauthorized error

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to tenant
  2. Be idle for 30-40 mins
  3. Notice the error message
  • Trying to access the tenant from some URLs can also cause the issue, overall problem is intermittent

Cause

Issue occurs when all trusted origins are removed from the trusted origins list/configuration, different origins cannot make CORS requests and is unauthorized

Resolution

Fix is scheduled for the end of month patch.

As a workaround fix please implement trusted origins, the trusted origins can be configured in the Administration menu under the App Integration tab towards the bottom. (SAC usually sets some by default)
