3665722 - Unable to change the language of a plant in configuration 'Define Plant'

Symptom

The language of the plant appears greyed out in configuration node 'Define Plant' (SSCUI 105877) 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

Reproducing the Issue

  • Call the 'Define Plant' configuration (SSCUI 105877)
  • On the 'Define Plant' page the language is not open for editing 

Resolution

  1. Open the 'Define Plant' configuration (SSCUI 105877).  
  2. Navigate to the 'Define Plant' page.  
  3. Select the "Address" tab.  
  4. Go to the "Communication" tab.  
  5. Update the language field to the desired value.  
  6. Press "Return" to confirm the change.  
  7. Navigate back to the 'Define Plant' page and verify that the language field remains unchanged.  
  8. Click "Save" to finalize the changes.  
  9. Confirm that the language has been successfully updated after saving.  

** Ensure the user role includes the business catalog "SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_MM_IM0_PC".
