3665743 - Issues on UI5 applications in BAS when authenticating to SuccessFactors via BTP

A UI5 application deployed or tested via Business Application Studio (BAS) needs to connect to SuccessFactors through the Business Technology Platform (BTP) using a configured destination.

From the SuccessFactors perspective, the available authentication methods and their respective documentation are as follows: 

• Authentication Using OAuth 2.0

• Authentication Using OpenID Connect (OIDC)

However, uncertainty about which SAP BTP documentation and configuration steps to follow may result in issues during connection setup, including authentication failures or HTTP 500 error responses when the application attempts to access SuccessFactors data.
