Symptom

App Generate Intercompany Billing Request gives following error message:
Maintain a profile for intercompany billing
Message No. PROJ_BILLG_ELMNT321
Procedure:
You do this in Customizing for Project System under Revenues and Earnings > Project Billing Settings > Maintain Billing Profile.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Generate Intercompany Billing Request" app.
  2. Enter parameters.
  3. Click on Schedule, you observe the error message.

Cause

Intercompany billing profile (ICOBLG001) is not created.

Resolution

A new entry needs to be created with ICOBLG001 as the Billing Profile. This is the profile that needs to be created for intercompany billing.
