3665933 - Issue with Incorrect Position Assignment during End of Global Assignment with Right to Return(RTR)

• When there is a position change in the home assignment effective on same date as Away on Global assignment record then Right to Return(RTR) is fetching the wrong position when ending the Global Assignment ie it is not returning to the updated/latest position instead returning to previous position before position change.
• Issue is noticed when Global Assignment is imported and Ending Global Assignment is done manually via UI

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Global Assignment
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Position Management

Prerequisites:

• Under Manage data -> Global Assignment Configuration (GACONFIG) ->set "End global assignments automatically " to NO
• Under Position management settings -> Tab: Right to Return -> configure Right to Return for Global Assignment.

Steps:

1. Perform an Global assignment import with dateA
2. Perform an job information import for the Global Assignment added with dateA and relevant information
3. Now, perform an job information import to update the Home Assignment with below details
   • creation of a job info record with start date dateA, and position changing from position01 to position02 --> seq num 01
   • creation of job info record with start date dateA, and GA Unassign from Position(based on RTR settings) --> seq num 02
4. Go to Actions -> Manage Global Assignment ->End the Global assignment manually.
5. Notice,  Return to Home Position with Right to Return process is creating the Back from Global Assignment record on the former home job info record using the relevant date. However, the position used for the record creation is position01 instead of position02. 

• Engineering team has fixed the issue in 1H2026 release.
