3666104 - PATCH API Custom Table call throws generic error

Symptom

  • A generic error message is displayed when attempting to perform a PATCH operation on custom table entries via the API.
  • The error message states: "Sorry for the inconvenience, but there seems to be an error in the system. An automatic notification has been sent our way and we'll be fixing the error as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can continue working in SAP CPQ Custom Table Microservice."
  • Body contains timestamp being sent.

Environment

SAP CPQ 

Resolution

  • When sending timestamp, it is important to enter a value inside allowable SQL range of 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM to 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM.
  • An improvement on 2511 is planned to enhance the API response by displaying a more descriptive error message for this issue.
