3666212 - Post Enable the Custom Timeline, you dont see business objects available

When trying to create a new custom timeline event, you notice that the dropdown of the field Business Object is empty.

SAP Service Cloud Version 2.

1. Logon to your SAP Service Cloud Version 2 tenant.
2. Click on the User Profile.
3. Click Settings.
4. Navigate to All Settings.
5. Click Timeline Configuration under Timeline.
6. Click on Event View button.
7. Click New Event.
8. Open the value help of the Business Objects field.
9. See it is empty.

Some of the prerequisites to make use of the custom timeline events might be missing.

It is important to ensure the following prerequisites are being followed before creating a custom timeline event:

• Create the custom services to receive the external inbound event data.
• Enable the custom inbound events for the custom services and map them to a communication system.
• Assign the custom services to the administrator’s role to provide access for configuring custom timeline events.
