3666277 - E-Mail, Phone and Fax in the Output Document of a Sales Document is Not the Expected One

The E-Mail, Phone and Fax in the output document of a Sales Quote, Service Quote, Sales Order, Service Order or Return is not the expected one.

This applies to Sales Quotes, Service Quotes, Sales Orders, Service Orders and Returns. We will use the example of a Sales Quote.

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Go to the Sales Quotes view.
3. Open the sales quote XYZ (XYZ represents the ID of the sales quote). 
4. Go to the Output History tab and in the E-Mail Text sub tab, you can see the Phone, Fax and the E-Mail address is displayed as follows:
   • DEF (DEF represents the name of the employee responsible)
   • ABC (ABC represents the name of the company)
   • Phone:XXX( XXX represents the phone number displayed)
   • Fax: :YYY ( YYY represents the fax number displayed)
   • E-Mail: ABCexample@example.com (ABCexample@example.com represents the e-mail displayed)
5. Click on the name (hyperlink) of the employee responsible in the quote, system opens the Employee Overview. 
6. In the Communication Data section, you can see the phone, fax and E-Mail address are different. You expect the Phone, Fax and E-Mail of the employee responsible is displayed.

In the quote XYZ, the seller company is ABC. In the company ABC mater data, the communication details is maintained in the main address as follows:

• Phone: XXX( XXX represents the phone number displayed)
• Fax: :YYY ( YYY represents the fax number displayed)
• E-Mail: ABCexample@example.com (ABCexample@example.com represents the e-mail displayed)

The Phone, Fax and E-Mail information in the output E-Mail Text is taken from company master data instead of employee master data.

Before Release 2602, the Fax label is displayed also if no Fax number is maintained for the Seller Party in the document. 

With Release 2602 the Fax label is not displayed anymore if the Fax number is not maintained for the Seller Party in the document. 

This is the expected system behaviour.
