Symptom

Users encounter an error message stating “File not available for download” when attempting to download workflow notification rule templates after performing a tenant refresh.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer for core applications

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Service Work Center.
  2. Open the Templates View.
  3. Select and open any workflow notification rule template.
  4. Click on the Download option.
  5. The system displays the message: “File not available for download”.

Cause

The issue occurs because a partial tenant refresh was performed, which does not include data for the reference node that stores the actual content of the template. Although the workflow notification rule itself is copied, the corresponding reference node containing the template content is missing in the refreshed tenant. Consequently, the template file is unavailable for download, triggering the displayed error message.

Resolution

To avoid this issue, it is always recommended to perform a full tenant refresh. A full refresh ensures that all data, including parent nodes and associated reference nodes, are copied correctly, making the templates fully accessible for download.
