Symptom
An "Effective From Rule" is assigned in the Benefits configuration to default the Enrollment Effective Date as the first day of the next month if the Enrollment Effective Date is not equal to the "Enrollment Effective From" configured in the Benefit Schedule Period.
On clicking Manage My Benefits tile in Homepage, an application error occurs with the below-mentioned text:
internalMessage=Failed to retrieve user's available benefits.
errorMessage=Internal error
name=Error
code=InternalError
Note: This error occurs only when the IF condition in the rule is trying to fetch the "Enrollment Effective From" from the Benefit Enrollment object (sample rule screenshot below).

Reproducing the Issue
- Please check if the business rule (configured as mentioned above) is assigned in the Effective From Rule section in the Benefits configuration.
- Proxy as the user and click on Manage My Benefits tile in the home page.
- An application error occurs with the below-mentioned text:
internalMessage=Failed to retrieve user's available benefits.
errorMessage=Internal error
name=Error
code=InternalError
Cause
This error is occurring due to a code issue when the system is trying to fetch the "Enrollment Effective From" from the Benefit Enrollment object.
Resolution
This issue will be fixed via a patch (PTCH-47994) which is planned to be deployed on 21st October 2025 in the Preview instance.
