Symptom

  • Error encountered when approving a workflow using the check mark on the home page tile 
  • internalMessage=Error performing action
    errorMessage=The target server of your request doesn't support header “successfactors-target-route”. This header is only allowed for microservice UI requests. Please check the request URI registration or remove the header.

    code=BadHeader

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Proxy as approver.
  2. Navigate to tile for the pending workflow'
  3. Select the check mark to approve the workflow on the tile.
  4. Observe the error message: "internalMessage=Error performing action
    errorMessage=The target server of your request doesn't support header “successfactors-target-route”. This header is only allowed for microservice UI requests. Please check the request URI registration or remove the header.
    name=Error code=BadHeader"

Cause

Issue was caused by a temporary inconsistency.

Resolution

Issue was fixed with 2H2025 release, available in Preview Environments. Release will be applied in Production environment on November 14th.
