3667408 - Workaround for Tomcat Hang Issue Caused by Unreleased or Stuck Threads

Symptom

  • Tomcat Crash
  • Tomcat Hang
  • Tomcat home page is unreachable
  • BI Launchpad (BILP) and Central Management Console (CMC) and all other web applications become unavailable
  • Tomcat threads are continuously increasing and approaching the limit(default 200). 
  • Tomcat threads are stuck, waiting, in warning states, etc.
  • Tomcat thread dumps show numerous threads in a WAITING state or deadlocks
