3667506 - Extra Time Types Appear in “Apply Planned Time” Dropdown in Time Sheet

Symptom

When an employee creates a recording in the Timesheet UI and selects the “Apply Planned Time” checkbox, extra time types appear in the dropdown. This is incorrect, as only time types with an attendance classification should be configurable as planned working time.  Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet
  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the employee’s timesheet.
  2. Create a time recording and select the “Apply Planned Time” checkbox.
  3. Time type with the “Extra” classification appears in the dropdown list, alongside the attendance time types.

Cause

The system did not automatically restrict or validate the field "Available for Apply Planned Time" based on the Time Type Category. 

Resolution

 A fix for this issue is planned for delivery in 1H 2026 release.
