3667690 - exclamation mark in characteristic value causes issues

Symptom

  • Characteristic values starting with an exclamation mark ("!") can be created via PLM system integration for SAP S/4HANA without any warning or error.
  • Characteristic values starting with an exclamation mark ("!") are not replicated to other systems, resulting in missing data in the replicated material.
  • Error observed in SXI_MONITOR during replication of materials with characteristic values starting with an exclamation mark ("!").
