3667797 - Substitution of Payment Reference Field (BSEG-KIDNO) Not Working During Document Posting

• The Payment Reference field (BSEG-KIDNO) cannot be substituted during accounting document creation from billing in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. 
• Standard configuration tools such as BAdI FIN_ACDOC_ITEM_SUBSTITUTION and Manage Substitution and Validation Rules do not support substitution of this field. 
• The system automatically populates the Payment Reference field with a predefined standard value, and external values cannot be applied. 

• The Payment Reference field (BSEG-KIDNO) is a standard system field in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and is not exposed for substitution or extensibility through available frameworks. 
• This restriction is aligned with SAP’s design principles to maintain consistency in financial postings by limiting substitution capabilities to authorized fields only.

This is a standard system limitation in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Currently, there is no supported method to override or customize the value of this field during accounting document creation.

For enhancement requests, submit a feature request via the SAP Customer Influence website.
