Symptom
- The DRTM Person Information purge job is not consistently removing employee contact details as expected.
Specifically:
- Email addresses are correctly removed from both the Contact Information and Employee Contact Information portlets.
- However, phone numbers are only removed from the Contact Information section, and remain in the Employee Contact Information portlet.
- This behavior is inconsistent. In some cases, phone numbers are removed but email addresses are not, and vice versa. A data sync exists between these fields — manual deletions in the Contact Information section are correctly reflected in the Employee Contact Information section. However, when deletions are triggered via the purge job, the sync does not behave reliably, especially when purging multiple users.

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Data Retention Management Tool and initiate a Person Information Purge request.
- Upload a CSV file containing the terminated user IDs. You can download the sample template and populate it with the relevant IDs.
- Launch the purge.
- Proxy as the assigned approver.
- Once completed, review the purge report.
- Verify the outcome by checking the affected users’ profiles:
- Go to Contact Information and Employee Contact Information sections.
- Confirm whether the data has been successfully removed from both sections.
Cause
Real-time sync issue
Resolution
- Engineering have confirmed this real time sync issue will be fixed in 1H 2026.
- As a Workaround until the fix is available, run a HRIS Sync or wait for a daily HRIS Sync to be ran after completing the purge to update the data inconsistencies.
