3668049 - Unable to set 'greater than' condition for a field in Groups under home page profile icon on the right side

Symptom

  • The system does not allow setting a 'greater than' condition for a Date Field when creating a group in Settings > Groups.
  • Example: This functionality is available for Hire Date but not for Seniority Date.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the Instance
  2. Navigate to Home Page Profile Icon on the Right Side
  3. Navigate to Settings -> Groups.
  4. Create a new group.
  5. Attempt to exclude employees from the group by selecting Seniority Start Date.
  6. Observe that there is no option to define a 'greater than' condition for Seniority Date Field

Cause

 This is the expected behavior.

Resolution

The source field is initially "Date" data type; however, following synchronization, the date value is converted to a String.
