Symptom

  • Synchronization job fails with the error message: "Authorization missing for Solution Documentation for Solution `S4E_Solution`, Branch `Design`, Authorization Area `Default`, Authorization Group `Default`, Activity `Delete`."
  • The error occurs during the synchronization of PROCESSLINK objects.
  • Users are unable to download job data; the download button does not function as expected.
  • HTTP Error Code 500 is observed during the synchronization process.

Environment

Business process model connector for SAP Signavio solutions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to run a synchronization job in the business process model connector for SAP solutions.
  2. Observe that the synchronization fails with the error message related to missing delete authorization.

Cause

  • The SolMan user lacks the necessary authorization for the delete activity (`Activity 06`) on the authorization object `SM_SDOC`.
  • This issue may arise if the SolMan system was updated recently, and the authorization profiles were not regenerated.

Resolution

  1. Verify the authorization roles assigned to the SolMan user in Solution Manager.
  • Ensure that the roles include the authorization object `SM_SDOC` with `Activity 06` (DELETE).
  • Regenerate the profiles for all assigned roles to ensure they are up to date.
