3668100 - Error "Changes failed. There was an error while performing this operation" when saving performance template

Symptom

  • Error occurs when attempting to save changes to a performance template.
  • Error message displayed: "Changes failed. There was an error while performing this operation."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Templates.
  2. Select the Performance module
  3. Open any Performance template
  4. Attempt to edit the form and save the changes
  5. Observe the error message: "Changes failed. There was an error while performing this operation."

Cause

The issue is caused by the instance enabling Talent Intelligence Hub without granting the necessary permissions to the attributes.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the system.
  2. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles.
  3. Select the relevant permission role.
  4. Under the "Growth Portfolio" section, ensure the following permissions are granted:
  • Attribute > View
  • Attribute Type > View
